Who is happy quiz co for?

We designed happy quiz co for people who want to host a recurring quiz for a group they already know — whether that’s friends, family, or a fundraising group. It’s built for small, private leagues where consistency and ease matter more than competition or spectacle.

It’s not designed for serious quizzers, corporate trivia nights, or individual players looking to join a league. The focus is on long-term, low-pressure participation rather than one-off events or large-scale competitions.

Do players need an account or login?

No. Players do not create accounts or log in to happy quiz co.

All interaction happens via the host and the quiz link they share each week. This keeps the experience simple, accessible, and low-friction for everyone involved — especially players who may not be particularly tech-savvy.

How are quizzes delivered?

Each weekly quiz is delivered by email to the host every Friday at 8am EST.

The host then shares the quiz link with their group however they prefer — whether that’s email, WhatsApp, Slack, or another messaging platform. happy quiz co doesn’t dictate how you communicate with your group.

When do quizzes open and close?

Every quiz follows the same predictable weekly schedule. The quiz is sent to the host every Friday at 8am EST and remains open until Sunday at 8pm EST. Once the quiz closes, scoring is handled automatically, and the results and leaderboard are delivered by Tuesday end of day EST.

This consistent rhythm helps groups build a habit without feeling rushed or pressured.

Do I need to host the quiz live?

No. There is no live hosting required.

Teams complete the quiz in their own time before the Sunday deadline. This makes happy quiz co ideal for busy schedules, different time zones, and groups that can’t coordinate being online at the same time.

How does scoring work?

Scoring is fully automated.

Once the quiz closes, we handle the scoring and generate the leaderboard for your league. You receive the results by Tuesday end of day, ready to share with your group. There’s no need for spreadsheets, manual checking, or judgement calls.

How much does it cost?

Hosting a league costs $30 per month, per league, paid by the host.

There are no per-player fees, unlimited players are included, and you can cancel at any time. The fee covers weekly quiz creation, automated scoring, and ongoing platform support.

Can I charge my players?

Yes — if you want to.

You decide whether players contribute, how much they contribute, and where that money goes. Some hosts use happy quiz co for charity fundraising, some create a small prize pool, and others host for free as a gift to their group.

Can I customize the quizzes or difficulty?

Not currently.

All leagues receive the same weekly quiz at a consistent difficulty level. This keeps the experience fair, predictable, and manageable for both hosts and players. Customization may be explored in the future, but it’s intentionally out of scope for now.

How do you handle cheating?

We built happy quiz co for private, trust-based leagues made up of people who already know each other.

We don’t actively police answers or monitor behavior during quizzes. Instead, fairness is maintained through social accountability and repeat play — much like a pub quiz or family game night. If cheating becomes an issue, it’s up to the host to address it within their group. If you’re looking for strict enforcement or pro-level competition controls, happy quiz co may not be the right fit — and that's okay!

What if there’s a dispute about a correct answer?

We aim to write clear, well-checked questions, but occasional disputes can happen.

If a host believes a correct answer is wrong or unclear, they should contact hello@happyquiz.co. We’ll review the question and, if needed, issue a clarification or correction. Any updates apply consistently across all leagues, so no group is unfairly impacted.

Is there an app?

No. happy quiz co is intentionally email-based and tool-light. This helps us keep our fees low.

There’s no app to download and no dashboard to manage. The goal is to keep hosting simple and accessible, not to introduce more tools to learn.

Can I run multiple leagues?

Yes. You’re welcome to host more than one league. Each league is billed separately, but there’s no limit on how many leagues you can run. Note that currently every league will receive the same set of questions each week.

Yes — running multiple leagues is possible.

Each league is set up and billed separately, but you’re welcome to host more than one if you’d like, for example, a fundraiser league and a separate friends or family league.

Because we're still in our early stages, we currently ask multi-league hosts to reach out so we can make sure schedules, quiz delivery, and access codes are handled smoothly.

👉 Email hello@happyquizco.com and we’ll help you set it up.

I'm already a player in a league - can I start my own league too?

Yes — absolutely.

If you’re currently playing in a league and would like to start your own as a host, we’d love to hear from you.

At the moment, we ask that you get in touch so we can make sure everything is set up cleanly, especially if you’ll be participating in more than one league at the same time.

👉 Email hello@happyquizco.com and we’ll walk you through the options.

What if I want to stop hosting?

You can cancel at any time.

There are no contracts or long-term commitments. If you pause or stop hosting, your league simply ends at the end of the current billing period.

happy quiz co is still in early development, what does that mean?

happy quiz co is a new product that’s being built and improved alongside real, running quiz leagues. Right now, that means the experience is intentionally simple. We focus on doing a few core things well — delivering weekly quizzes, handling scoring, and keeping hosting low-stress — rather than trying to do everything at once.

You might see small changes or improvements over time, but the weekly quiz schedule and core experience will stay consistent. Feedback from hosts helps shape what we build next.
